Andrew Fraser, PhD, CPA is a Partner at LFG Partners, leading the firm’s Technology Advisory practice with a primary focus on SR&ED and other business incentives. Drawing on more than a decade of SR&ED consulting experience and a background spanning scientific research, technology, accounting and tax, Andrew advises innovative companies on identifying eligible R&D, preparing technically robust claims and supporting reviews by the Canada Revenue Agency. His technical experience includes software engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning, biotechnology, advanced materials, food science and manufacturing.

In addition to the SR&ED practice, Andrew supports clients with corporate tax planning and compliance, financial reporting and corporate finance advisory matters, including business valuations. Prior to joining LFG in 2018, Andrew worked in RSM Canada’s SR&ED practice and held industrial research consulting roles involving chemical preservation and advanced battery materials. He previously spent nearly six years conducting graduate research at Queen’s University, where his work focused on organometallic chemistry and palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling.

Andrew is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a PhD in Organometallic Chemistry from Queen’s University, a Diploma in Accounting from the UBC Sauder School of Business and a BSc in Chemistry from Bishop’s University.
